Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Veritas Sync (“the app”), provided by Veritas Labs (“we”, “us”). By installing the app on your Shopify store you agree to them. If you do not agree, uninstall the app.

1. The service

The app applies collections, market availability, pricing, image alt text and SEO fields to products in your Shopify store, based on the tags on those products and the rules you configure. It acts on your store using the permissions you grant during installation.

2. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the tags and sync rules you configure, and for the results they produce
• You are responsible for reviewing and testing your rules before relying on them across your catalog
• You must keep your Shopify account secure and comply with Shopify's own terms
• You must not use the app unlawfully, or attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or resell it

3. Fees, trial and cancellation

The app includes a 72-hour free trial from installation. After the trial, continued syncing requires an active subscription, charged monthly through Shopify Billing at the price shown in the app at the time you subscribe. Charges appear on your Shopify invoice; we never handle your card details.

You may cancel at any time by uninstalling the app, which stops future charges. Shopify's billing rules determine any partial-period amounts, and fees already charged are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes do not affect the period you have already paid for.

4. No warranty

• The app is provided “as is”, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied
• We do not guarantee that sync results will match your expectations
• You are responsible for reviewing and testing your own sync rules
• We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free

5. Limitation of liability

• The app is provided “as is” with no guarantees of uninterrupted or error-free operation
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veritas Labs excludes all liability arising from your use of the app, including any loss of data, revenue, profit, goodwill or business, and any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss
• If any part of that exclusion is held unenforceable, our total aggregate liability is instead capped at the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim arose

Each part of this section operates independently. If a court finds any part unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

6. Indemnification

• You use the app at your own risk
• Veritas Labs is not responsible for changes made to your Shopify products, collections, pricing, market availability or other data as a result of sync rules configured by you
• You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your use of the app or your breach of these terms

7. Third-party services

The app depends on Shopify and on your print-on-demand provider. We are not responsible for their availability, changes to their APIs, or the accuracy of data they supply — including provider cost prices used to calculate your retail pricing.

8. Suspension and termination

You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if required by Shopify, or if providing the app becomes unviable. On termination, your stored data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms, and the date at the top of this page will change.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
